Letters to the President is a small place for open letters from people whose voices don't often reach the public.

How it works

1. You write. Pick a pseudonym and leave out details that could identify you.
2. We read. An AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) flags spam and identifying details. Only the letter text is sent to it. Then the editor reads your letter.
3. We may check in. If something might give you away, the editor emails to ask what you'd like to do.
4. It's published under your pseudonym, and your email is deleted a few days later.

Letters aren't delivered to the president. They're written for everyone else.
